We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, being within walking distance to the city center and the beautiful Lake Gregory. The staff, especially Duminda and Punyadasa, provided excellent service and were very helpful throughout our stay. The hotel had a cozy and old English charm, and the view from the bar was breathtaking. The food was delicious, with a menu offering a wide variety of options to choose from.

You can walk to all places within a short distance, and even venture out to explore other places in Sri Lanka. The rooms are spacious and bright, giving a feeling of comfort and relaxation. The staff is friendly and always ready to assist, ensuring a pleasant stay. The breakfast offers a variety of delicious dishes, and the view from the hotel is breathtaking, providing a peaceful and serene atmosphere.
The lack of proper amenities in the rooms, such as a separate plug point or stand for the kettle, can be a minor inconvenience.

During my business trip, I had a great time at this hotel. The room was very spacious and bright, with modern amenities that made my stay comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome during my stay. Plus, the hotel is conveniently located near the racetrack and Victoria park, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.
While my overall experience was good, I did notice some issues that could be improved upon. The hotel's exterior was a bit shabby, which was somewhat disappointing.

Celebrating New Year’s Eve was fun! There were decorations and drinks. Key locations were within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty with a variety of options. We enjoyed the mountain views from our room and the cozy atmosphere of the fireplace.
The room was not clean, it smelled moldy and musty. The bathroom looked outdated, and there were no toiletries.
